The Friends of Baker Hunt is an auxiliary organization of volunteers dedicated to supporting and enhancing the mission of the Baker Hunt Art and Cultural Center.
Special interests and projects of the Friends include:
Ø Friends of Baker Hunt Scholarship Fund - To provide financial assistance to youth and older adults who might not otherwise be able to attend classes
Ø Heritage Gardens of Baker Hunt - To maintain the lushly landscaped grounds that provide an urban oasis through the efforts of volunteer Master Gardeners and others
Ø Baker Hunt Family Museum - To preserve and promote the family collection of artifacts representative of a significant part of the history of the area and an important learning tool for art history and the humanities.
Ø Programming Enhancements - To purchase items to enhance the arts experience such as pottery kiln, pottery wheels, pug mill, display panels, etc.
Ø Ambassadors - To assist in the promotion of the unique opportunities to experience the arts and humanities available at Baker Hunt to the community
Twilight in the Gardens, held in the Fall, is the signature fundraising event which supports the activities of the Friends. Join us for a magical evening of art, food and jazz as you stroll through the beautifully landscaped campus under a canopy of twinkling lights. Take the opportunity to view and purchase the work of our exceptional instructors while supporting the projects of the Friends.
Please consider becoming a member of the Friends of Baker Hunt and perhaps becoming a volunteer as well.
