January 28, 2010

The Friends of Baker Hunt Art & Cultural Center and the Kenton County Historical Society are pleased to announce the 2010 Northern Kentucky History Art & Culture Lecture Series.   This very popular series,  founded by Tony Durso, will begin its fourth season on February 14, 2010 with a presentation in recognition of African American History Month called The Civil Rights Movement in Northern Kentucky: Eyes on the Prize - Looking Back to Move Forward.

The title of the series this year is “Stories from the Encyclopedia of Northern Kentucky… and More.”  We are privileged to have one of the co-editors of the encyclopedia, Dr. Paul Tenkotte,  chairperson of the History and Geography department at NKU  assisting us in engaging  knowledgeable authors of several of the articles as our speakers.  We have included additional speakers as well and hope that you will find them of interest.

We have included a flyer with the titles of all of the lectures.  We are offering 10 lectures this year for the same price of $50.  Please consider investing in this worthy series.

We also would appreciate your considering an additional donation to support the classes in the arts and humanities which have been offered at Baker Hunt since 1922.

Thank you for your ongoing support.
